Composite for one of Honeywell’s booth walls at AUSA 2023 Defense Expo.
The AGT turbine engine is the actual engine that powers the US Army’s M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, and not a traditional diesel engine as the general public would expect. The reason is, when they designed the tank, no diesel engine could deliver such power, so they went for a gas turbine, as the M1 tank is quite heavy, over 70 tons. The current engine delivers 1500 horsepower, runs on either jet fuel, diesel fuel or kerosene.
For the composite image, I used a 3D model, adjusted & exported it as a line art from Light Render Tracer and put everything together in Adobe Photoshop.
