I was tasked to come up with a logo for the High Altitude Laser Atmospheric Sensing program by Honeywell. It’s a sensing system based on shooting lasers into the atmosphere and read back air movement to help weather forecast for specific areas, instead of launching weather baloons.

Besides the logo, the program director needed also an official patch for their team clothing and to use it as a sticker too.
My design basis was the actual hardware, that had the laser shooting turret at its core:
